Gladrags is a unique, sustainable provider of subsidised, pre-loved costume resources and expertise. They provide a ‘hire not buy’ costume service to the public, professional theatres, film, and the creative arts industries which plays a vital role in supporting their environmental and community focused values. These funds enable this small charity to continue providing subsidised/free use of their costumes and artefacts to community groups that support disadvantaged families, local schools, and fringe arts.
In 2021 Gladrags provided around 100 costumes and artefacts for LYT Productions, Tide Mills Project Heritage Celebration Week. Where their collaboration with projects like Tide Mills enables stories and history to be told with authenticity and creativity through the provision of their costumes.
